You’re invited!
Come join us at the 3rd Annual York Region Anti-Human Trafficking Conference for an evening of learning, networking, and raising awareness about human trafficking in our region as we aim to, “Educate to Eradicate”.
This event will feature a variety of community agency booths, plus informative and engaging sessions for parents; with presentations from the York Region Police Human Trafficking Unit, the mother of a sex-trafficking victim, and a panel of experts in the field.
Youth will attend interactive and creative workshops (separate from the parents) organized by four different community partners and at the end of the evening youth will have an opportunity to review their learning in a fun game and win prizes. York Region CAS, alongside several community partners, will be taking part in this event and will have our own booth to share more information about the work that we do and our ongoing foster care recruitment efforts.
We invite you to also share the information below with anyone you think may be interested in joining! The Event welcomes both parents and youth aged 11 and up.
