On Sunday, December 17th, York Region CAS was honoured to be part of and accept a generous donation of 250 bicycles and helmets that were provided and assembled by the staff and families of Waste Connections of Canada – Toronto Waste Connections.
As recipients of the generous donation, York Region CAS alongside Halton CAS, Kawartha Haliburton CAS, Simcoe Muskoka CAS, Durham CAS and Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child and Family Services will be distributing the bicycles and helmets to children, youth, and families in need within our respective communities.
This spring, York Region CAS plans on hosting an event to help distribute these bicycles and helmets.

Once again, we would like to thank Waste Connections of Canada for their generous donation. We would also like to extend a special thanks to Dan and Richie from Two Men and a Truck Barrie who donated a vehicle to help transport the bicycles.
