Happy National Volunteer Week!

York Region Children’s Aid Society (York Region CAS) would like to extend our gratitude to all our volunteers for their commitment to offering support services to the children, youth, and families of York Region.

Volunteers play a critical role in supporting children, youth, and families receiving child welfare services in Ontario and each year, thousands of individuals offer their time, skills, and energy to support the well-being of children, youth, and families across the province. Together, they contribute hundreds of thousands of hours in roles such as drivers, mentors, tutors, special event organizers, and board members. In addition, Volunteers often get to know the children and youth they work with and form an integral part of the service team working to ensure their success.

During National Volunteer Week, York Region CAS and the Ontario Association of Children’s Aid Societies recognize and celebrate the volunteers who work with us to support children, youth, and their families. We are grateful for all that they do.
