York Region CAS is excited to announce that as of January 27, 2025, Laura Davidson has stepped into the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Laura will assume duties as Acting CEO for the duration of the CEO recruitment period initiated by the York Region CAS Board of Directors.

With her wealth of knowledge and experience working within our community and alongside York Region CAS partners in various capacities, Laura is dedicated to developing and nurturing the collaborations that centre the well-being of children, youth, and families.

Strategic Direction

In her new role as Acting CEO, Laura is devoted to advancing the Agency’s strategic goals and continuing quality service delivery in collaboration with community partners to centre the voice of the child and youth and support the needs of children, youth, and families, utilizing the Signs of Safety model.

As an Agency, our focus remains on equity, human rights, reducing disproportionality and disparities, and Indigenous sovereignty as learned from those we serve and as outlined in the Child Youth and Family Service Act and An Act Respecting First Nations, Innuit, and Métis Children, Youth and Families.

Alongside our community partners, we will work collaboratively towards creating a caring and responsive community for children, youth, and families.
