As we celebrate Family Day (February 17), we are reminded of the importance of diversity, love, connection, care, and community support. Although families may come in all shapes and sizes, the love and support we give to one another is what brings us together.
While many of us will be spending time with loved ones and/or families, there are children and youth within York Region who need our help and support to access opportunities that allow them to thrive.
The York Region Children’s Fund is committed to help improve the quality of life for children and youth in the care and protection of York Region Children’s Aid Society through support for vital childhood enrichment, educational support, and compassionate aid.
This Family Day, the York Region Children’s Fund would gratefully accept your donation. All donations help children and youth supported by York Region CAS to maintain their cultural identities and foster connections with families and their communities. These efforts play a crucial role in nurturing a sense of belonging and resilience among the children and youth they support stay connected to their families and communities and further their education in their chosen path – high school, college, university or a trade apprenticeship. Remember, every contribution, no matter how small, contributes to a brighter future for these young individuals. Let’s continue to uplift and empower them!

Not sure what to do with your leftover foreign currency? Maybe you have some leftovers after the recent holiday break? You can also donate it to the York Region Children’s Fund through the Currency for Kids program!
