York Region CAS is extremely excited to announce that on November 16, 2023, “The Youth in Care Project” premiered at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) at the TIFF Bell Lightbox cinema in Toronto.
“The Youth in Care Project” is a documentary and call to action. The film illuminates the experiences of young people in care and captures the raw and unfiltered stories of young people who have experienced the child welfare system, sharing their journeys, triumphs, and dreams. It’s a testament to the resilience and strength of these remarkable individuals.
Several notable York CAS youths are a part of this incredible film, and we would like to invite everyone to join us in recognizing and celebrating these individuals on the success of the film and the exciting premiere!
