On Wednesday, September 13, York Region CAS held an agency-wide Signs of Safety Launch Event at the Leslie Street Head Office in Newmarket. This launch was a culmination of work that has been done in the Agency since 2010.
Staff had the opportunity to attend both in-person and virtually to celebrate the agency’s Signs of Safety journey together to date.
Highlighted by York Region CAS CEO and a variety of speakers at all levels of the agency, staff were presented with the Signs of Safety Implementation Plan and real-life examples of Signs of Safety practice.
Rebecca Giles, Signs of Safety Change Management Lead, was formally introduced and shared the importance of Signs of Safety in relation to the agency’s strategic direction of centering child, family, and youth well-being in York Region.
In addition, all staff that attended in-person had a chance to participate in fun and interactive activities related to Signs of Safety. Prizes, treats and a delicious pizza lunch with cake was available for all to enjoy.
Thank you to everyone who participated both virtually and in person.
We look forward to providing you with updates as we continue the agency-wide Signs of Safety journey.
