On Saturday, December 14, the Black, Latency, Adolescent, and Continued Care (BLACC) Committee at York Region CAS held an Afro-Caribbean/Canadian-centric Holiday Celebration for the Black-identifying children, youth, and Kinship families receiving services from our Agency.

The event transformed our Leslie Street Boardroom, and everyone in attendance enjoyed poetry, storytelling, Kwanzaa teachings, a guest speaker with lived experience, drumming, some magic, and, of course, tasty food and music!

The children and youth who participated were also happy to find gifts and surprises waiting for them!

Many thanks to the BLACC committee members and all those who came out to support and make the evening a wonderful success!
